Writing Assignment Used for This Interview
Written swine production technical plan, based on visits to a local farm. Students will integrate and apply scientific principles of genetics, environmental physiology, nutrition, health, and reproduction to swine production and management. Students will combine science and practical considerations in describing and comparing swine production systems, including breeding, reproduction, growth, feeding, housing, health, and their relationship to quality pork and profitability.

It's a lot more daunting to write a paper when you have to collect all the information yourself... A lot of the things that we were told was what the farmers knew... It's making sure we represent the information in the context it was meant... If it's individual, I have my own style of writing, so as long as I'm able to represent what I know, in my way, then I think it's pretty successful.
