Brief excerpt from interview: I learned a lot. I really respect Dr. Zaleski... [This course] will stay with me, I think, through everything... my time here at the university is gonna stay with me. I'm really appreciative of what I learned. That's also shaped why I want to come back. I want to give back what was given to me, to the island.

This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in Animal Science at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
