When I read it over, I definitely think it portrays how I felt.

I didn't perform it in class, so I didn't have feedback ... I didn't want to think about how I was living at the time ... my other classes, I had other stuff to focus on ... as a person the course changed me to think more about the concept of home ... opening up my mind to different ideas of home ... as a writer, if you love writing, just write ... it has gotten me to write a lot more ... I type it on my phone when something comes to mind ... writing outside of class ... helped me get through losing friends ... it has helped me to revise ... a classmate helped me out a lot [on a different paper] to see what reading I needed to do ...

Brief excerpt from interview: As a person, [this course] has definitely changed me because it made me... think more about the concept of home and what that really means to me... I have thought about different ways [to define home such as] a place, or a group of people, or the way that made me feel... It kind of opened up my mind to different ideas of home. That [class] has gotten me to write more.
