dc.description This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in Animal Science at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014, and in this clip the interviewee is responding to the question 'Were your relationships with classmates, the campus, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, or the Pacific changed in any way? Do you see your major or your educational experience any differently as a result of it?'
dc.description.abstract Brief excerpt from interview: I've seen a lot more of [this place] than I thought existed in the first place... I'm probably adopted Hawaiian/Asian because I've done so many things I never would have had the chance to or would have tried on the mainland... I don't regret the evolution into what I wanted to do... I feel I have more motivation to do what I want to do... Being here I was able to grow up a little being away from my family and on my own.
