Welcome to the ScholarSpace repository for the Jon Van Dyke Collection. This site hosts the digitized papers of Jon Van Dyke. Not all of the papers have been digitized due to copyright. However, the full physical collection is located at the William S. Richardson School of Law Library Archive, 2525 Dole St. Honolulu, HI. The finding aid, index and access policy of this collection can be found at: http://archives.law.hawaii.edu/exhibits/show/jon-van-dyke-collection.
The papers are organized into 4 series:
- Series 1: Who Owns the Crown Lands? (Native Hawaiian Land Rights and Sovereignty)
- Series 2: Ferdinand Marcos Human Rights Litigation (Legal papers on the multiple cases between the Ferdinand Marcos Estate and tortured victims or their surviving relatives)
- Series 3: Pacific Island Judiciary Development (legal and teaching materials on legal instruments for Pacific Island nations self-determination efforts)
- Series 4: Ocean Law (legal and teaching materials around marine protection and related issues)
Each series is broken down into a collection of boxes whose contents have been indexed. Again, this site only provides only some of the contents that were digitized because of copyright over them.
To learn more about the context of the papers, please read the finding aid and index at archives.law.hawaii.edu. Or, visit the Law Library archives by contacting the Evening Supervisor and Archives Manager at 956-2867 or ellenrae@hawaii.edu.
