This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in a sophomore honors seminar at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014, and in this clip the interviewee is responding to the question 'In responding to your instructor's writing assignment, what challenges did you face?'
Brief excerpt from interview: The course dynamic being loose was probably the biggest challenge as well because... you had to identify and find your passion and where you thought you could make a difference. I ended up pairing with a couple students... we ended up working on a modified rain garden to help with the issue of Hawaiʻi's depleting water table.
