This item includes a segment of an a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in Animal Science at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014 and in this clip the interviewee is describing a well-rounded perspective developed in relation to experiences of place.
Brief excerpt from interview: Moving to Oregon, there's not a lot of in and out of new students, so they were all raised with the same curriculum, same ideas... The teachers had to approach me and kind of point out 'this is what we look for here'... I think I kind of had a more well-rounded perspective... I was able to look at it from different views... I did it one way in one place, another way in another place.
