dc.description.abstract The purpose of this report is to present comparable pavement sections of different types and to recommend the most suitable type. The comparable pavement sections were developed by evaluation of pertinent factors such as anticipated traffic, soil and geological conditions, and climate. These factors, among others, are listed in the section on paving type determination and documented in the "Informational Guide on Project Procedures" published by the American Association of State Highway Officials (AASHO).
