Abstract
The major purpose of this study is to investigate and compare faculty and student personnel staff attitudes toward student participation in the governance of local Hawaiian institutions of higher education. The sample of faculty and student personnel staff was obtained from institutions of higher education located on the island of Oahu. To the researcher's knowledge this is the first time that such a study has been undertaken locally.
