Brief excerpt from interview: I do know of people who, have [the syllabus] right here and have it while they're working. For me, that's excessive. I get what they're doing; they're trying to nip it in the bud. [My revisions] always came after the fact.

This item includes a segment of an a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in Geology & Geophysics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014 and in this clip the interviewee is commenting on the effect of the professor's syllabus on students' writing process.
