dc.description.abstract Orania is a genus of about 16 species distributed from Malaya to the Philippines, New Guinea, and Australia, with the largest number of species in New Guinea. The species are for the most part poorly collected and poorly known, so the present effort at revision is clearly preliminary. This paper is presented as a guide to the identification of the known species of Orania in New Guinea.
