dc.description This presentation will provide an overview of the education policies and practices affecting the indigenous communities of Brazil stemming from the 1988 Constitution amendments and UNESCO's Education For All policy, with special emphasis on bilingual education. It will discuss the successes and challenges implementing intercultural and bilingual (Portuguese/indigenous language) education.
