dc.description.abstractBrief excerpt from interview: I want to move, but it seems smarter to try the market here, because I already have my foot in the door. If I want to progress in a career as a reporter, then I pretty much have to [move]. People who move to the mainland... you're in a different place, so there's different events, topics that are occurring, that are different from here. I feel like if you do go to the mainland, you can offer a lot when you do come back, you've progressed. Why wouldn't you come back to Hawaiʻi? There's not a lot of places like Hawaiʻi... there's a lot of things going on.
