Marvin Ott, senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center, and Julia Allen, strategic studies major at Johns Hopkins University, explain that "the Rebalance will be unsustainable without heavy reliance on tangible expressions of regional support [from critical partners] Australia, the Philippines, and Singapore."
