dc.description.abstract This study examined the influence of intellective factors, personality dimensions and demographic-attitudinal variables upon educational attainment, occupational status and family income, through an ordinary least squares analyses of variance. Multiple regression equations for each dependent variable were constructed and validated through two-stage least squares analyses. Although 310 subjects completed all instruments, the deletion of subjects who were missing data for occupation and income and education, plus a listwise deletion of subjects for the independent variables resulted in a final N of 232 subjects. Demographic/attitudinal variables had the most influence upon all three dependent variables. of the intellective factors, only verbal ability was predictive of only educational attainment. Personality dimensions were not predictive of any dependent variable.
