Roja Landine, kampong Wolo habi, desa Maluriwu, recorded by Ebbe (Pidhu S.) 8 Nov -15 in the late morning, using the AT Lavalier mic (which easily gets too loud, noise. Keep the volume low.). This item is her 'huru kora, a rather nasty curse put in the plantation, using, among else, a piece of bamboo that is hung from a tree. The thief will become mentally disturbed and harass people of the other sex and steal, thus making the person unreliable. Roja utters a long order, or "curse-prayer", when she prepares the sign/curse which will hunt down potential thiefs, from 00:28 to 01:54! (huru kora. RL). Curse: with man-woman bamboo item hung from a tree. Materials: wetho wa'i, koka laki, hao (lobone lima, koe wai laki, [pati anane wa’ena o’o kethi]) Symptoms: the transgressor will become mentally disturbed and harass people of the other sex and steal; unreliable. Roja utters a long order, or curse-prayer (caba kora), when she prepares the sign/curse.The transgressor/the cured pays at least a million IDR, or a medium sized pig, for the cure.
