dc.description.abstractThe range, life history, food, competitors, predators, and ectoparasitic cleaners of Hypsypops rubicunda and Chromis punctipinnis are considered. Both species exhibit elaborate prespawning and spawning behavior. Nest preparation and nest behavior of the garibaldis are discussed in detail.
