Abstract

The present study seeks to answer the question: "Is there a significant emotional difference, as expressed in drawings, between abused and nonabused children?" Each nurse at one time or another is faced with the challenge of caring for an abused child. Thus, the answer to this question is important to the understanding of the special needs of abused children. Indeed, it may ultimately lead nurses to a comprehension of what is specifically needed by the abused child to facilitate his developmental process.
