dc.description.abstract | An aphelinid wasp, Marietta pulchella (Howard), was discovered for the first time in Hawaii when it was reared from the angraecum scale, Conchaspis angraeci Cockerell. M. pulchella develops as a solitary ectoparasite within the scale cover. This is the first record of a parasitoid attacking C. angraeci, and the first record of a Marietta species developing as a primary parasite. | |
