dc.description.abstract | The morphology of the shell and soft parts of Fimbria fimbriata is described and compared with that of other members of the Lucinacea. Particular attention is given to the ligament and hinge of the shell, and to the tissues and organs involved in food collection, sorting and digestion. | |
