Genre: Song/Oral history. Theme: Ware Pa'e. Title: Laki ndora. Song 'Laki ndora' composed by teacher Sinta Lebih, kampung Lei, 1980s, about the legendary lakimosa Ware Pa'e (c. 1830-1925), son of lakimosa Cawa Meli and Lelu. Sung by Maria Methi and her mother Yuliana in their home. The song is based on the tales (oral history) about Ware told by his descendants in Lei. Recorded in Mata Mere 8 July 2014. Metaphores in this song are, as in ritual language, couplets, paired binary words and terms. Laki ndora is an alias referring to expansion of territory by 'ndora' (vine sweet potato) as metaphor. Characters in Palu'e oral history and folk tales are often extraordinary people ('kese') with supernatural capabilities ('pisa').
