Abstract
Teaching Oceania is a free digital textbook series produced by the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Center for Pacific Islands Studies with the support of the US Department of Education through a Title VI grant for area studies. This article describes the initial goals, target audiences, collaborative writing, and gradual development of the series for US and regional institutions teaching interdisciplin- ary Pacific studies courses to undergraduate students.
