dc.descriptionThe Hawaiian language is the medium for new formal education conventions, growing new speakers. Among some differing viewpoints regarding L2 speakers are new Hawaiian words. Since 1987 the Hawaiian Lexicon Committee of the College of Hawaiian Language at UH Hilo continues to share over 6,000 new Hawaiian entries online.
