Brief excerpt from interview: I learned a lot about current issues here in Hawaiʻi. It's similar to other places in the Pacific... It was such a big range, and a lot of times you don't get to hear native voices in classes so it was really great to see.

This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in American Studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2013, and in this clip the interviewee is responding to the question 'Do you know more about Hawaiʻi or the Pacific, and if so, what?'
