Description
Approaches to evaluating linguistic data collections include: 1) suggestions for validating archived collections through published journal reviews, published descriptions of archives, and consideration of archived collections for academic promotion; 2) establishing criteria for including collections in academic tenure and promotion evaluation; 3) proposals for evaluating collections as either entire or part of dissertation projects; and 4) creating and tracking altmetrics for assessing archived collections. Presented at the first workshop on Developing Standards for Data Citation and Attribution for Reproducible Research in Linguistics, held at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 09/18/15-09/20/15.
