Abstract
This project intends to obtain information about students’ needs at an English intensive program at a university, especially a listening and speaking curriculum area. Fourteen undergraduate students who enrolled in an intermediate listening/speaking class completed survey asking about the skills they needed to fulfill their academic requirements. These include general listening skills as well as in-class discussion skills, vocabulary strategies, and note-taking skills, and these suggestions can be adopted in creating materials and developing in-class activities. This paper further provides possible activities to be incorporated to meet students’ needs.
