dc.description.abstract A new species of snapping shrimp, Alpheus randalli, which was collected in association with a goby, Amblyeleotris sp., in the Marquesas is described. A shrimp of similar coloration and association was observed in the Indian Ocean. This species is the second of the Edwardsii group reported to live in association with gobies.
