A displaced sugar worker tells of his family and Pahala plantation childhood. Topic discussed include his Hawaiian Agricultural Company jobs, layoff, employment as a restaurant waiter and assistant housekeeper, return to Kau Agribusiness in the garage and warehouse, and company closure. He also speaks about his reemployment in macadamia nut production, on support for the displaced workers, the Huliau O Kau organization, and the effects of the closure on the community.
