Description

is study argues that Javanese is undergoing large-scale endangerment. A shift toward endangerment is also observed beyond the courtly or city centers for Javanese in an investigation of ethnolinguistic vitality in Paciran, a village in East Java, Indonesia. The assessment is based on 13 interviews as well as extensive observation.
