| dc.description | Genre: Medicine/huru: Teresia Lue, a grandmother from kampong Ndeo and Hilarius Ratu's mother, informs us about 'huru boe'. Recorded in the early evening 27 June -15 in Mama Lu'e's home, in the living room with the H4N Zoom. I, Cawa Lunda, ask many questions in this recording. Lue does not "hang" this 'huru' as a curse in the plantation. It is a disease or a symptom that affilicts males only; the groin, the organ becomes red and swollen and aches. Bad. It is cured by applying a chewed mixture of betel and lime, 'hule mila' and 'hero' bamboo sprouts (young leaves), ginger and tobacco. The cure can be repeated until three times.
