Originally developed as an LIS course assignment, a video tutorial highlighting key features of the chemical compound database SciFinder-n was integrated into an online research skills course created by academic librarians at Hamilton Library. Given that SciFinder-n has been underutilized relative to its cost and can be intimidating for students, the tutorial was designed to teach effective research strategies while also raising awareness and excitement about the database.
