Genre: Oral history/foretelling. Title: Ngaji Pisane. Tomas Toda, a grandfather from kampong Nitung lea, tells about Ngaji Pisane, who was able to see and understand things that others do not ('ata pisa'). He predicted that in the future the Palu'enese would age faster and work less, different from the past when people kept their teeth and black hair until they passed away. He was right. This is due to the different diet and lifestyle of today and new work habits. People did not have tooth paste, shampoo, modern medicine and doctors. Recorded in Tomas' home early evening 1 Oct 2015 sitting on the 'woga' at the back of the house because there was about to be a party nearby. Recorded by SD with an AT Lavelier mic, because the AT2020 mic was not really appropriate for the place we sat on. Tomas told two stories and his wife was also present.
