Brief excerpt from interview: So for the Hālawa Valley heiau field trip, one of the goals of that field trip, in addition to having students have a place-based experience, was also for students to get to know each other better... after the field trip... I feel like people felt more confident to speak up in class... [and] that class discussion went a lot better.
