Laboratory Comparison of Precast Structures for Dissipation of Wave Energy
Thesis
In this paper we review the results of a Manufactured Precast Structure and a New Design of the PrecastStructure in respect to their wave energy dissipation properties. This is done via laboratory experiments and verified using theoretical methods to ensure that our results are valid. It was determined that structures with smaller openings maintain higher percentages of wave energy dissipation when compared to structures that have larger openings when subjected to different water depths and wave conditions.
