dc.description | SSSL is the only reported sign language in Chimbu province. Despite evidence that it is not closely related to any other language, SSSL probably is not an isolate. Further sign language documentation in PNG is necessary, has potential significance for underserved signers, and could help identify languages related to SSSL. | |
