dc.description | Interviews with various subjects about a range of topics. Multiple speakers, but no names given. Unnamed co-interviewer as well. Recording is of overall good quality. Side A contains several separate recording sessions with five different speakers (six male and one female). Topics include rice planting, plowing, harvesting, and business; times of political disturbances and ethnic conflicts; and folk veterinary medicine. Side B contains three main sessions: 1) a female speaker complaining about unfair rice and water prices and the like; 2) conversation between Bickerton and his male co-interviewer about two female speakers; and 3) a female speaker mostly talking about planting and milling rice. Throughout Sides A and B, there is various background noise, including traffic, wind, chickens, and children. | |
