Description
A woman remembers her early years on Molokai, marriage to a Kau sugar worker, and caring for her children. Her first husband's death, subsequent financial difficulties, various jobs, and marriage to her second husband, also a Kau sugar worker, are discussed. She also talks about the options and support available after Kau Sugar Company layoffs and closure and her participation in the Kupuna program, where she saw the impact of the closure on the students.
