dc.description.abstract From September to December 1972, Judith Foye lived at Makaruka, headquarters of the Moro Movement, in the Moli District of Guadalcanal. Judith collected plant specimens and talked with local healers while her husband was involved in the Guadalcanal Weather Coast Project, a study then being undertaken by the East-West Population Institute and the University of Hawai'i.
