Description
A displaced sugar worker recalls his childhood in Waipio Valley--swimming, netting fish, and growing taro--and move to Kukuihaele. He continues with his Honolulu experiences: marriage and children, construction and stevedore jobs, and motorcycle activities. He talks about his return to the Big Island where he worked as a truck driver and harvesting supervisor until the sugar company closure. He also reflects on the closure, its effects on his family, and his future plans.
