Description

Michael John Ikeda was born on November 24, 1951 at Kapiolani Hospital. He lived in Mānoa, Hawaiʻi where the East-West Center building stands on the UH Mānoa campus. Mike Ikedaʻs father Isamu Ikeda, worked for the University of Hawaiʻi’s LiveStock Experiment Station in Waialeʻe, Hawai’i. Uncle Mike shares his childhood memories growing up on the station, his father’s work, and recalls some of the influential kûpuna that impacted his life.
