Description

A woman of FIlipino descent talks about her life experiences in kindergarten, first, & fourth grade and going to school during WWII that stood out to her. She also talks about learning of the importance of education, the open mindness of her parents and her families involvement in the Congregaional church. She also talks about visiting her familiy on O'ahu and her family members immigrating to Hawaii from the Philippines. While looking back at her elementary school experiences she also talks about changes in friends, differences in class among the teachers and students based on their ethnicities.
