dc.description.abstract This study is a follow-up of thirty-five certified special education students. These students were certified by the State of Hawaii, Department of Education as being educable mentally retarded. They were enrolled in the Learning Center Program at Kailua High School between the years of 1970 to 1973. All of the students are no longer currently enrolled in the program. This study was developed to show a more specific manner some of the outcomes of a training program for certified special education students based on a learning center approach. Specifically, this study was designed to evaluate the present status’ of the graduates in these areas: 1) Occupational Status 2) Social Adjustment 3) Recreational Interests and Activities.
