Genre: Oral history. Title: Ware Pa'e and the Kéli-Edo Woto war. This recording, from one of the first recording sessions, was done directly with the H4N recorder in the home of Bapak Woko (b. 1938), kampong Kaju keri, in the morning 25 Feb 2014, with only him and the recorder Stefan Danerek present. Woko tells the history of the legendary leader of the Kéli domain (of which Kaju keri is part), Ware Pa'e. After telling about Ware Pa'e Woko tells about the Japanese occupation of Flores, his father, forced labour in the Maumere area, allied bombings, and the return to Palu'e Island. Portrait in SD1-003.
