|Abstract:||In 2008, the ADAP project adopted five focus areas to direct our efforts and resources: Climate Change, Food Security, Energy Security, Invasive Species and Biological Threats, and Health and Lifestyle Impacts. In our efforts to address both food security and health and lifestyle impacts, we planned the Childhood Obesity in the Pacific Region Project, of which a stakeholder meeting was the most prominent feature. The stakeholder meeting facilitated discussion on research and extension efforts across the Pacific region in the area of childhood obesity. Participants were expected to discuss the available data sources, research and extension efforts, and a balanced and broad-view analysis of their local and regional needs.|
|Sponsor:||Sponsored by the Agricultural Development in the American Pacific Project (ADAP) and the Pacific Land Grant Alliance (PLGA) with a grant from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA 2009-38826-19927)|
