Nozomi Tanaka Collection

This collection contains various materials that allow researchers 1) to elicit relative clauses for the purpose of language documentation and description (NT1-001); and 2) to conduct field experiments to test comprehension (NT1-002) and production (NT1-003) of relative clauses. All materials contain pictures depicting intransitive and transitive events in a way that allows eliciting (or testing the comprehension of) subject and object relative clauses as well as accompanied instructions on how to use them. These materials were designed primarily for our work on Tagalog—not small or endangered—but our goal was to design materials that can be accommodated to different cultures and languages, including small and endangered languages, for which reason we decided to archive these materials in Kaipuleohone. Please feel free to translate the materials into your research languages and modify/remove the pictures to match your needs (e.g., cultural appropriateness).
