Because of the many challenges Hawaiʻi faces that have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, a new political paradigm must be created that forgoes the pursuit of wealth and consolidated power for the pursuit of justice, equity, sustainability, and self-determination. This requires empowered communities and community organizing.
