dc.description.abstractThe cable selection task is another step towards accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Hawaii Deep Water Cable (HDWC) Program. The primary purpose of this task is the selection of a cable that best meets the Program's system and subsystem feasibility criteria (1 and 2). The selected cable design forms the basis for the remainder of the Program's work efforts in the areas of design, manufacture and testing of the cable, cable vessel and cable handling equipment subsystems.
