The child of plantation carpenter recalls his childhood in Kelawea Camp and performing different jobs at the plantation including picking kiawe beans, milking cows in the plantation dairy, and doing carpentry work. He also discusses his teaching experiences at two different high schools, teaching 'ukelele making, and teaching at Honolulu Community College.
