Abstract

Description

James Armstrong “Kimo” Lyman was born in 1950 in Honolulu. He met his future wife, Victoria “Vicky” Paniccia of Los Angeles. Three years later, they would marry and move to the North Shore. James worked at the Waialua Fire Department and was also member of the Hōkūleʻa Voyaging Canoe. In his retirement, Uncle Kimo has spent more time mentoring sailors, learning more about Hawaiian history, culture and religion, and caring for the environment.
