dc.description A poem about fear for a family member who is a nurse, and others in the field around the world, on the front lines without protective gear or the institutional support so needed. Inspired by the Marshallese legend of the lōrro, the woman who flies from island to island from grief over a lost love and broken heart, reimagined here as the grief that must come for every person clinging between life and death.
